Usage Data

If you use the online consultation of the Berlin crisis service in the South-East region, so-called usage data for statistical purposes are temporarily evaluated on our web server as a protocol in order to improve the quality of our websites. This data set consists of:

  • the name and address of the requested content,
  • the date and time of query,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the access status (content transferred, content not found),
  • the description of the terminal device used and the operating system,
  • the IP address of the requesting terminal.

The aforementioned log data is only evaluated anonymously.

Storage of the IP address for security purposes

In addition, we store the complete IP address transmitted by your device strictly for the duration of seven days, in the interest of being able to detect, limit and eliminate attacks on our websites. After this period has expired, we delete or make the IP address anonymous. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Necessary cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the use of our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies that are deleted as soon as you close the website and permanent cookies that are stored beyond the individual session.
 We do not use these necessary cookies for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes. In some cases, these cookies only contain information about certain settings and are not personally identifiable. They may also be necessary to enable the user guidance, security and implementation of the websites. We use these cookies on the basis of Sec. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Registration

If you would like to use the online counselling service of the Berlin Crisis Service in the South-East region, prior registration is necessary. We only collect the data that is necessary for registration. These are only username, password, email address or mobile phone number, gender and the indication of the user group. In addition, we store in your user account the time of your registration as well as the IP address used by you in this context. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of providing you with the online advice of the Berlin  Crisis Service in the South-East region. If we also collect further data such as age group, place of residence, living situation, relationship status or consulting topic, this is done voluntarily and is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of being able to advise you in the best possible way and to keep statistics on consultations carried out. Insofar as the processing concerns specially protected categories of personal data, the processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 9 para. 2 GDPR. If you are no longer using the online advice provided by the Berlin Crisis Service in the South-East region and would like to delete your data, please inform us using the contact details provided.

Appointment Scheduling

You have the possibility to book a consultation online. The appointment requires prior registration. We process all data collected about you and your information on the subject matter of the consultation solely for the purpose of processing the appointment and carrying out the consultation relationship. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of providing you with the online advice of the Berlin  Crisis Service in the South-East region. Insofar as the processing concerns specially protected categories of personal data, the processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 9 para. 2 GDPR.

Video consulting

We advise you by email, telephone or video conference. We use the video conferencing solution Jitsi Meet for video consultation. Jitsi Meet is a free, open source software. You can participate in a video conference held via Jitsi Meet with your web browser. The installation of an additional program is not necessary. We process all data collected about you and your information on the subject matter of the consultancy only for the purpose of carrying out the consultancy relationship. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of providing you with the online advice of the Berlin  Crisis Service in the South-East region. Insofar as the processing concerns specially protected categories of personal data, the processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 9 para. 2 GDPR.

Storage period

Unless we have already informed you in detail about the storage period, we will delete personal data if it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned processing purposes and if there are no legal storage obligations to prevent deletion. The deletion of your user account takes place within one month after you have requested the deletion. We delete inactive user accounts if they have not been used within a period of two years. In this case, the deletion takes place without you having to ask us to do so.

Other processors

We pass on your data to service providers who support us in the operation of our websites and the associated processes as part of commissioned processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. These are, for example, hosting service providers. Our service providers are strictly bound by instructions and contractually obligated to us accordingly.

Your rights as a data subject

When processing your personal data, the GDPR grants you certain rights as a data subject.

Right to Information

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you are being processed. If this is the case, you have a right to information about this personal data and to the information listed in detail in Art. 15 GDPR.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to request the correction of any inaccurate personal data relating to you and, where applicable, the completion of any incomplete data without delay.

Right to Deletion

You have the right to request that personal data concerning you be deleted without delay if one of the reasons listed in detail in Art. 17 of the GDPR

applies.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of the review by the data controller.

Right to Data Portability

In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Art. 20 of the GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer of this data to a third party.

Right of Revocation

If the processing of data is based on your consent, you are entitled to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Please note that the revocation is only effective for the future. Any processing that took place before the revocation is not affected by this.

Right to Object

If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit.e GDPR (data processing for the fulfillment of tasks) or on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR⁠(data processing for the protection of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority

You have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of the data concerning you violates data protection regulations. The right of appeal may in particular be exercised before a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
